WARMTH: We continue with the warm theme for Monday. Highs hit the middle 80s as warm air pushes in from the south. It’s a tad humid too. We’re watching a cluster of storms over the Ohio Valley this morning. We expect the energy to translate east and fire a few storms for us in the afternoon hours, which could pack a little punch. Rain chances later in the day are limited to the isolated category. Tonight, lows drop to the 60s with a few showers or storms possible while you sleep.
The warm air stays in place for Tuesday as highs do the low 80s again with humidity in place. A cold front drops backward from the northeast, bringing us chances for scattered storms during the afternoon and evening.
DOWN AND UP: A few showers linger in the forecast for Wednesday. Highs hit the low to middle 70s since cooler air slips back in behind Tuesday’s cold front. Late Wednesday warmer air pushes back north. High make a run at the upper 70s to near 80° for Thursday. Storm chances return toward evening as the next cold front approaches. Thursday night into Friday, a slow moving cold front will bring us showers and thunderstorms, and slowly falling temperatures. We’ll be in the upper 60s to near 70° for Friday, with temps slowly dropping toward evening.
WEEKEND: For now, the weekend forecast is a bit shaky with differences between the models. Either way, it’s not looking too wet. We’re partly cloudy and a bit cooler than seasonal averages. Highs will be in the middle to upper 60s. More to come.
Make it a marvelous Monday!
