A Lancaster Animal Shelter is asking for the public’s help in assistance in locating the person who threw two kittens from a moving car on Sunday.
The two 4-6 week-old kittens were tossed out of a moving vehicle along Centerville Road on Mother’s Day morning, according to the Pet Pantry of Lancaster County. Several people stopped to slow traffic and helped to corral the kittens.
The kittens, named “Karma” and “Kismet,” spend the night recovering at the shelter and appear to be doing okay.
“It is really sad to see in today’s world that people would still do these kinds of things to something as young and defenseless as a kitten,” said Dr. Bryan Langlois, the Medical Director of the Pet Pantry. “I’m really glad to see that there are those Good Samaritans out there who did stop and make sure the kittens were picked up and taken to someplace safe.”
Karma and Kismet will spend the next few days at the shelter–and if they continue to show no signs of injury or illness they’ll be placed up for adoption.
