OVERVIEW: The humidity will remain elevated the next several days and the threat for showers and storms will be likely through the end of the week with the best chance for showers on Friday. Right now the weekend looks cooler and mainly dry with only an isolated threat for a shower on Sunday.
EVENING FORECAST: The next few hours there remains a threat for isolated shower or thunderstorm. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy with hazy skies, muggy and warm with temps fall through the 70s.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies, muggy and warm with lows in the low to mid 50s. Patchy fog and hazy conditions expected. There is only an isolated threat for early morning showers but much of the overnight looks dry.
SEVERAL DAYS OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS: Temperatures will be cooler for Wednesday thanks to a backdoor cold front that slowly sags in our direction from the northeast. Highs will remain in the low to mid 70s with the front stays to our south before moving back to the north as a warm front. This means our flow is out of the east-southeast and that will keep the low level moisture around resulting in more clouds and a continued threat for a few showers and rumble of thunder. Thursday we get back into the warm sector, despite the clouds hanging around along with the threat for showers and thunderstorms later in the day, highs will bounce back to the upper 70s. Rain chances increase overnight as finally a very slow moving front moves in aligning with an upper level trough. This will help to pull in quite a bit of moisture from the Gulf giving us an opportunity for 1 to 2 inches of rainfall by Friday night. Highs will be held to the upper 60s.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Upper level trough and energy keeps the clouds around mixing with sunshine. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler in the upper 60s both days. Some upper level energy swinging in may trigger an isolated shower Saturday but most of the area remains rain free. Sunday will see more sunshine.
EARLY NEXT WEEK: Monday the clouds will be on the increase as the upper level low moves overhead, there will also be a chance for an isolated shower or two to pop up. There will be a better threat for showers on Tuesday. Both days remain cool in the 60s.
Have a good day!!
