Army War College Colonel indicted on child pornography charge

A federal grand jury in Harrisburg today indicted Colonel Robert J. Rice, 56, for Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography over the internet.  Colonel Rice is stationed at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle.

The charges stem from an investigation by the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office with the assistance  from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

If convicted of both offenses, Colonel Rice faces up to 30 years in federal prison and fines of up to $500,000.
