A noise complaint leads to an attack with a machete in Lebanon City.

After 9 a.m., city police responded to a call in the 300 Block of North 5th Avenue for a disturbance.

According to police, 47-year-old a man was visiting friends in the building and went to the apartment below them to complain about loud noise. Neighbors told police the man banged on the door and when the residents opened the door, he yelled at them and assaulted a 34-year-old man inside the apartment.

During the assault, a 27-year-old woman grabbed a machete and slashed the man on his legs.

The man then fled the apartment and was taken to a local hospital for his injuries, which are not life threatening. The other man was not hurt.

So far, no charges have been made.
