10 arrested in Swatara Township prostitution sting

Nitin Patel, 37, of Enola; and Michael Hoover, 39, of Steelton were arrested in a prostitution sting.

Police arrested ten people on prostitution and drug charges while conducting a sweep Thursday in Dauphin County.

Investigators organized a sting operation targeting prostitution along the Eisenhower Boulevard corridor of Swatara township.

As a result police arrested Michael Hoover, 39, of Steelton; Nitin Patel, 37, of Enola; Angel Burroughs, 19, of Syracuse, New York; Shawn A. Novinger, 39, of Shermansdale; Blakrishman Tharumas, 30, of Harrisburg; Oliven McCall, 45, of Harrisburg; Esli Gumaro Arroyo, 38, of Mechanicsburg; Mena Baklog, 28, Of Harrisburg; Jane Doe, aka Amy Lee, unknown age, Chinese National, and Xiong Hueng, unknown age, Chinese National.

Hoover, Patel, Novinger, Tharumas, Arroyo, Baklog  are all charged with soliciting a prostitute.

Burroughs and Jane Doe were both charged with engaging in prostitution.

McCall and Hueng were both charged with promoting prostitution (transporting).

Jane Doe and Xiong Hueng were arraigned on their charges and are currently in Dauphin County Prison pending verification of their identities.

All other parties were released and will be sent summons for arrest.
