A lock down at the Dauphin County Prison has been lifted. The prison had been on lock down since Tuesday after staff discovered a piece of metal missing from a cell block.  Despite a thorough search of the facility the missing piece has not been found.

Warden Dominick DeRose says the transition out of lock down began today and normal operations will resume Saturday morning. Visitation is no longer restricted.

No injuries to inmates or employees have been reported.
