Jack Hyer knew he wanted to marry Rebecca Strellnauer after they went on their first date on Sept. 30, 2010. So after that first date he started planning his wedding proposal. Throughout the next four years Hyer traveled to 26 countries, and in each one he recorded video of himself lip-syncing to The Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” from all over the world.
The couple graduated from the University of Montana last Saturday and Hyer tricked Strellnauer into thinking they were going to watch his “graduation slideshow.”
“I’ve been on many adventures. I’ve traveled on elephant, on camelback, hiked to the lowest point on the earth and I’ve gotten to see some of the highest,” he said after the video finished. “But the best adventure I’ve had is loving Becca.”
He then proposed to Strellnauer. It’s no surprise after a proposal like that -she had to say “yes!”
