An early morning apartment fire in West York has been ruled accidental.
Firefighters say the fire started around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on the first block of Highland Avenue at the Carriage Works Apartments. Officials say the sprinkler system in the building is what helped prevent the fire from spreading.
Officials say the fire damaged one apartment. Smoke and water caused around $30,000 worth of damage throughout the building.
Firefighters say the Red Cross is assisting two tenants.
