Dozens of military veterans went out to the ball park on Sunday night for a special celebration in their honor.
The Harrisburg Senators, W&L Sales Company and Miller Lite, all joined forces to say “thank you” to the men and women currently serving in our military and those who have served our country.
The vets and their families were treated to a free baseball game as the Senators took on the Bowie Baysox. They are also treated to a picnic in the park.
Organizers say it’s a small way to give back to those who have done so much for our country.
“They risk their lives and this comes from their hearts, they do it from their hearts and to know that they’re being thanked from our hearts, shows them that they’re cared for as well as them caring for us,” says Susan Symons with W&L Sales Company.
This is the 3rd year the organizations have partnered up to honor our troops.
