COOL THURSDAY: It’s a cloudy, damp, misty, drizzly cool Thursday. Does that paint the picture pretty well for today? Easterly flow is shoving moisture and cool air off the Atlantic Ocean which will give us one cool day. A few showers may pass today with highs only touching 60° at best. Tonight, we hold onto the damp weather. We’re still cool with temperatures falling a few degrees to the middle 50s.
FRIDAY: Expect a mostly cloudy day early, but the weather returns to more seasonal in the afternoon. A cold front approaches and changes the wind direction to northwesterly, shutting off the cool, damp air supply form the Atlantic. Expect a few showers or storms to bubble ahead of the front early with clearing later in the day. Highs should hit the low to middle 70s.
WEEKEND: High pressure is our friend this weekend. It shuts off any rain chances for us and flips on the switch to sunshine. Highs over the weekend top out in the upper 70s to near 80°. Enjoy the end of May and the start of June!
NEXT WEEK: Monday starts dry and sunny, but our next system arrives later in the day. This will bring a shot at showers and thunderstorms late. Showers and storms are around for Tuesday. Highs both days are in the low to middle 80s. Showers and storms linger in the forecast for mid-week.
Make it a tremendous Thursday!
