A York County soldier, killed in the line of duty almost seven years ago, was on the minds of many on Saturday.
Dozens of motorcyclists gathered to ride in memory of Army Specialist Zachary Clouser, of Dover.
He was killed while deployed in Iraq in 2007.
A memorial ride, along with a craft and vendor bazaar and chicken bar-b-que were held to raise money for a scholarship fund.
The Specialist Zachary R. Clouser Education Scholarship is awarded to high school students who want to attend a trade school.
“There’s a lot of scholarships out there for kids who have A’s and B’s, nobody thought about the kids who were mediocre, still great quality kids, but a technical school is great, so that’s what our scholarship is geared for,” says Ron Etheridge, Clouser’s Step-father.
The memorial ride was sponsored by Guardian Knights Motorcycle Club and SPC Clouser’s family.
