Two Florida men are accused of stealing food from Walmart in Cumberland County last week after soliciting an undercover security guard for marijuana, police said. It happened May 21 at the Walmart located at 6520 Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township.
According to police reports, Hector Guerrero and Santos Sarante Jr., both of Hialeah, Fla., approached a woman and asked if she knew where they could buy some marijuana. When the woman told the pair she didn’t have any pot to sell them–the two men went to the Deli and ordered food.
Guerrero and Sarante proceeded to eat their meal and walked out of the store without paying for the food, police said.
It turns out the woman the pair asked to buy pot from was a plain clothed member of the Walmart security team and subsequently contacted police.
The men were taken into custody as they were getting into their vehicle in the parking lot.
Both men are charged with retail theft.
