Police search for suspect involved in three armed robberies in Franklin County
State police are looking for a suspect they believe is involved in three armed robberies in Franklin County. Police are only describing the suspect as a white male, and believe he is linked to three robberies since May 27.
A rifle or other type of long gun was used in the first two robberies, while an ice pick was used to threaten store employees in the third incident, according to police.
No one was harmed in any of the robberies.
So far the suspect has been linked to the following three crimes in Franklin County: May 27, 10 p.m.: Sunoco gas station at 3448 Black Gap Road in Chambersburg. Where $500 in cash was taken; May 29, 10:20 p.m.: Rutter’s convenience store at 4030 Lincoln Way East in Fayetteville. $110 in cash taken; June 1, 9:33 p.m.: Fuel-Up store at 1891 Philadelphia Avenue in Chambersburg. $3,076 in cash taken.
State police were asking anyone with any information regarding the robberies or the man believed responsible to call the Chambersburg barracks at 717-264-5161.
