Air pistol seized from middle school student

A Lancaster County middle school student faces charges after he brought an air pistol on two consecutive days this week. The Resource Officer Conestoga Valley Middle School received information about the student shortly after 5 o’clock Wednesday evening.

An investigation revealed that the student had brought an Air Soft pistol to school in East Lampeter Township on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Air Soft pistol was a replica of a 9mm Glock semi-automatic and did not have any orange markings to indicate that it was not a real handgun. The student, according to township police, had brought the Air Soft pistol into the school to bolster his image.

Charges against the juvenile include Possession of Weapon on School Property and and Disorderly Conduct, both misdemeanors.
