A man accidentally shot his brother at a home  in Susquehanna Township on Wednesday night, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Alden Street at 9:42 p.m. for a report of a man shot in the leg.

When investigators arrived at the scene they found the victim,  Khalif Williams, on the front porch of the home being tended to by his mother. Khalif was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.

According to police reports, Khalif was in the kitchen with his brother, Naim Williams, when he was shot. Police said Naim picked up a gun on the kitchen table and in jest pointed it at Khalif’s leg and pulled the trigger–not thinking that the gun would actually go off.

A round was in the chamber and hit Khalif in the right thigh.

Naim will not face criminal charges,  police said.
