Man arrested, 2 others sought in Lower Swatara robbery

Lower Swatara Police have arrested a man and are searching for two others in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last month in Dauphin County. Police charged 24-year-old Alex M. Pettis with robbery, carrying a firearm without a license, simple assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and possession of criminal instruments.

Authorities say Pettis was involved in an armed robbery on May 26 outside of  the Hollywood Motel in Lower Swatara Township. According to police reports, the victim crashed his vehicle into a motel room in an attempt to escape from the robbers.

Pettis was arrested on June 5 for his involvement in the crime, police said.

Investigators have identified two other suspects that were involved in the robbery.

A preliminary hearing for Pettis is scheduled for July 2.

He was taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.

Car Crashes into Motel after Chase

A vehicle crashed into the Hollywood Motel in Lower Swatara Township as the driver was attempting to flee from armed robbers, police said.
