The City of Lancaster Water Department issued a boil water advisory on Tuesday for customers living in parts of Lancaster City. The advisory was issued due to planned system maintenance, according to a release issued by the City of Lancaster Water Department.

The boil water advisory has been issued for the following locations:

West Walnut St.
503, 505, 507, 509, 511, 512, 513, 514, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519, 520, 521, 522, 523, 524, 525, 526, 527, 528, 529, 530, 531, 533, 535, 537, 540, 541, 543

302 North Mary St.

North Pine St.
214, 215, 216, 217, 218, 220, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243, 245, 247, 249, 251

West Chestnut St.
529, 533, 537, 541

Customers in the affected area are advised to boil their water before using for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and food preparation.

The City of Lancaster Water Department will notify customers when the advisory is lifted.
