MORE STORMS: Who’s ready for this wet mess to end? After flash flooding across parts of our area, the atmosphere is charged for one final day of heavy downpours and gusty thunderstorms. It’s the last day of this warm, stuffy, stormy weather.
We begin with fog and some leftover showers as waters continue to recede from the storms yesterday. As the clouds break just a bit, we warm with high humidity. A cold front approaches today and will help to fire additional heavy, juicy downpours by the afternoon. A few storms may produce some strong to severe gusty winds later today, along with the threat for more flooding with already soaked grounds. Stay alert for changing conditions. Highs today are near 80°. Showers end later this evening and tonight as cooler and drier air rushes in with the cold front. We’re in the upper 50s for lows.
WEEKEND: Sunshine returns and humidity drops for the weekend. On Saturday, it’s breezy and mild with highs in the middle to upper 70s under mostly sunny skies. Sunday, for Father’s Day we’re mostly sunny warmer and still relatively comfortable. Enjoy the day with dad!
BEACH: We’re a bit stormy for Friday at the beach from NJ to MD coastlines, but the rest of the weekend looks great! Highs today are near 80° with plenty of humidity, scattered storms, and clouds. Saturday and Sunday feature drier air with more sunshine too. Highs hit the middle to upper 70s over the weekend. UV Index levels are very high, water temps are in the upper 60s and waves are 2-4 feet. Enjoy the Father’s Day trip!
NEXT WEEK: We stay dry through Monday for now with temps in the middle 80s and a return to the muggy air. Highs are in the upper 80s through mid-week with a chance for some shower sand storms Tuesday and a few storms may bubble in the heat on Wednesday. By Thursday a little chunk of cooler air slips by and lowers us to the lower 80s. More to come!
