York City man charged with rape of a child

A York City is behind bars accused of raping a child. City Police arrested Walter Jonathan Lobo-Estrada, 36, on Monday.  According to charging documents, Lobo-Estrada sexually assaulted the victim over a two year period at Lobo-Estrada’s home.  The female victim was between the ages of 6 and 8 years old.  The attacks were happen when the child’s mother was not at home.

Police were alerted to the assaults by the York County Children’s Advocacy Center.

Charges against Lobo-Estrada include Rape of Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child, Aggravated Indecent Assault of Child, Endangering Welfare of Children, Correction of Minors.  Lobo-Estrada is being held without bail at York County Prison pending a preliminary hearing later this month.
