STUFFY AGAIN: And it’s back! After a gorgeous and comfortable weekend, the humidity returns to the forecast for the week ahead. It’s not alone though. We make a run at 90° for the first time since September 11, 2013!
For today, expect highs in the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies. It looks mainly dry for the day with a few storms rolling in and dying out during the evening hours. Tonight, we drop to the upper 60s.
SULTRY SUMMER AIR: Highs hit the upper 80s for Tuesday and touch 90° Wednesday. With the humidity, it will feel like we’re pushing the middle 90s for mid-week. Showers and storms may bubble in the heat of the day, but activity will be random and very hit and miss. With all the energy and humidity, some storms could pack a punch.
LATE WEEK: By Thursday, a cold front sags southward form Canada. This helps to fire some storms in the early morning hours with scattered storms through the day. We hang onto the heat and humidity with highs in the upper 80s. Some cooler and drier air tries to nudge south. By Friday, the cooler and less humid air slips in form the north. We hit the low to middle 80s with a small shot at some leftover storms.
WEEKEND: The weekend looks a bit sloppy. Temps are in the low 80s with noticeable humidity. The cold front stalls to our south and wiggle around for the weekend, acting as a focal point for storms to fire. We’ll need to watch where this front sets up shop so we can fine tune the forecast.
Have a great work week! It’s the last week of spring too, summer arrives Saturday at 6:51AM!
