Justina Pelletier, the 16-year-old Connecticut teen who was the center of a heated medical custody battle, is now going home.

A Massachusetts judge ordered Pelletier to be returned to her parents today.

Justina was taken from her parents custody more than a year ago when they disagreed with a diagnosis given by a doctor at Boston Children’s Hospital.

They asked to have her returned to her original doctor, but The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families stepped in, saying she was the victim of “medical child abuse.”

Justina posted a video to Facebook last week asking the judge to allow her to return home, saying all she really wants is to be with her family and friends.

I hope that Justina is able to get back to being the active teen she was before The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families became involved, and set her back both emotionally and physically.
Someone needs to be held accountable for what happened to Justina.

So glad that she is back with her family where she belongs!
