BREAK AHEAD:  After a night of storms and warm air, the heat backs off today but the humidity stays in play.  As a cold front drifts south, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms may fire during the day today.  It’s mostly cloudy and not as hot, with near 80°.  Drier air begins its push into the area later this evening, shutting off any storms and scouring out the muggies.  Lows tonight drop to the upper 50s.

RAIN CHANCES

FRIDAY:  We get a small break from the heat and humidity.  The cold front stalls to our south allowing a bit of drier and slightly less humid air into the region for the day.  Expect highs in the near 80° with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.  It’s not a bad looking day.

HUMIDITY

WEEKEND:  Saturday, a wave of energy may bring some early showers and storms to the forecast.  It’s mostly cloudy as the humidity tries to creep back into the region.  Highs are held in the upper 70s.    Sunday, we clear out with partly cloudy skies.  However, the humidity returns and we make a run at the low 80s.  It looks mostly dry for now.

3 Day Planner

NEXT WEEK:  The mainly tranquil weather stays in play for Monday.  We’re warmer yet in the low to middle 80s with more humidity under partly cloudy skies.  By mid-week, we will watch our storm chances ramp up with highs in the middle 80s, just above seasonal averages.

Have an awesome Thursday.  Summer arrives this Saturday at 6:51AM!
