Human remains are recovered from the home of a missing 75 year old Perry County woman. Joan Hinds, was reported missing last Friday but she had not seen by her neighbors since last February.
Police State Police searched Hinds home along the 1600 block of Lower Bailey Road in Miller Township last week. But they said due to deplorable conditions inside the home a thorough search could not be made.
State police returned today shortly after noon with a cadaver dog. They found human remains covered by trash and debris. The home was so congested with trash, a hole was cut into the side of the house to remove those remains.
Police are awaiting positive identification of the remains by the Perry County Coroner’s office.
