Mosquito spraying scheduled for Adams County

The Adams County Conservation District’s West Nile Virus (WNV) program will be conducting an ultra low volume (ULV) mosquito control operation in Carroll Valley and Fairfield Boroughs and Hamiltonban Township, Adams County. We will be conducting this control work on Wednesday, June 25th, 2014.  The control work will begin around sunset.

This control work is in response to high numbers of mosquitoes collected that have tested positive for WNV.

We will be treating in Carroll Valley borough (CVB) from CVB park north through the residential areas in CVB and Hamiltonban Twp along Rt 116.  We will also be treating all of Fairfield borough.

The business license for the Conservation District is BU 6875.  The District will be using Permanone RTU applied at a rate of 0.75 oz/ac.  Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel this control operation.

This product is designed to provide quick knockdown and effective control of adult mosquitoes.
