Hundreds of fans packed Tellus 360 in downtown Lancaster to show their supper for Team USA as they took on Germany in the World Cup on Thursday. From the moment the doors opened at 10AM the crowd was thick with the smell of beer and sweat. One girl said she was covered in beer and that it was “totally worth it.”

Tellus 360 has seen crowds in the hundreds for every game that Team USA has played and the Germany-USA game was no different. “You can’t have a better place to watch soccer than here at Tellus 360. Goal scores, beer goes everywhere so expect to be soaked in beer when you leave here” said Team USA fan Michael Grimm.

Unfortunately the only goal scored belonged to Germany in the second half so the beer splashing was kept to a minimum. People left the bar after the game, but they didn’t leave disappointed. That’s because they’re still in the World Cup all thanks to the results of the game between Ghana and Portugal. “Ghana had to win and score two plus goals. They did not do that. They lost. It’s all about goal differential. Portugal had to score three or four goals, they did not do that so the US moves on even with the loss” said Team USA fan Declan Murphy.

For the Team USA fans throughout Lancaster, and the world, the hope is still alive.
