Today is National HIV Testing Day.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predicts nearly one in six Americans are living with HIV and don’t know they have it.

The CDC says these people transmit about 50 thousand infections a year.

Fewer than half of all Americans have been tested for HIV.

The US preventive services task force recommends screening for everyone age 15-65, as well as young and older people who are at increased risk.
