Dauphin County Prison on Lockdown

Dauphin County Prison is in lock-down, as of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, when medical staff could not account for ten insulin needles.

The lockdown will remain in effect until a thorough search of the prison has been conducted to ensure the safety and security of the inmates, prison employees and visitors.

Visitation is canceled for today and will be restricted until the lockdown is lifted. During a lockdown, inmates must remain in their cells.

    dauphin county is always being put on lock down most of the time it is just cause the staff is having a bad day and not cause of any security concerns even though that is what the public is told. they have had lockdowns last a week and that is way too long for security reasons
