WARMING UP

It’s been a quiet, summer day, and overall that trend sticks around through the night. During the evening, a passing shower or two is possible, especially west, but many stay dry. Otherwise through the night, expect partly clear skies. Lows are a little milder, but seasonably so, in the lower to middle 60s. Monday, a weakening frontal system approaches, bringing isolated thunderstorms chances, especially during the afternoon. The humidity returns, and temperatures rise into the lower to middle 80s.

STEAMY SUMMER HEAT

Tuesday another front approaches the region, making a few thunderstorms possible later in the day. It’s hot, with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Wednesday, the region is in the lower 90s yet again. There’s an isolated thunderstorms chance with Tuesday’s front hanging just to the south of the region. The heat and mugginess continue with highs near 90 on Thursday. An approaching cold front looks to break the heat, but first it brings the chance for scattered thunderstorms on Thursday.

4TH OF JULY WEEKEND

Relief from the heat and humidity comes just in time for 4th of July festivities. There’s plenty of sunshine with high pressure building into the region. Saturday, the sunshine continues, and even most of Sunday looks dry. The humidity levels stay low, and high temperatures are in the lower to middle 80s through the weekend.
