A fault along the electric grid in York Township knocks out power to about 6,800 Met Ed customers. The outage happened at around 2:40 pm. A Met-Ed spokeswoman says power has been restored to about 4,500 customers.
Emergency repair crews are working to restore power to the remaining 2,000 plus customers. Met-Ed did not have an exact time table for the power to be back on.
