A Carlisle man faces charges in connection with the break in and theft of tools from several construction trailers on June 15. The trailers were parked in the 800 block of the Orchard Glen Development off East Winding Hill Road in Upper Allen Township.
Police got a break in the case when tools matching those stolen were found listed for sale on the internet by Aaron Babner. An undercover officer arranged to meet with Babner to buy some of the stolen equipment. Working with the victim, investigators verified that Babner was in possession of the stolen tools.
Police found more of the stolen tools at Babner’s home and a pawn shop in Lebanon County Babner had already liquidated some of them. Armed with enough evidence, police obtained a warrant for Babner’s arrest charging him with Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, Possessing Instruments of Crime and Criminal Mischief.
Babner turned himself in to police on Monday.
