Officials say an empty Norfolk Southern train crashed into the back of a freight train in Sewickley.
At least three locomotives derailed and caught fire.
Witnesses say they could hear the collision.
Roy Sharp said, “I was on my computer in my room and I heard this horrendous noise it was loud and I could tell it was a train.”
Authorities evacuated nearby homes and businesses as a precaution while they investigated the scene.
