Relief from the humidity is knocking on our doorstep this morning as a cold front slowly drifts through the state. Arthur is having some influence too, helping to bring the lingering showers expected. The western half of the area should clear out by daybreak, but it will likely take a few more hours after daybreak to completely dry the eastern half. Sunshine gradually works in too from west to east through the morning as high pressure begins to take control. Temperatures drop into the 60s, and the humidity falls too. The afternoon is comfortable with partly cloudy skies. It is a bit breezy, with highs near 80 degrees. The forecast is good to go for fireworks everywhere during the evening.
REST OF WEEKEND
High pressure stays locked in place through the rest of the weekend. This means we can expect the sunshine, low humidity, and dry conditions to stick around. Temperatures are in the lower 80s Saturday, and the middle to upper 80s on Sunday. Enjoy it!
The humidity returns and temperatures warm up once again next week. Monday is dry, but there’s a chance for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday looks drier, but there is still a thunderstorm chance. Highs are in the lower 90s on Monday and in the upper 80s Tuesday. Temperatures Wednesday and Thursday are in the middle to upper 80s.
Have a great 4th of July!
