HOT AGAIN:  What an amazing holiday weekend!  We’re now onto a hot and humid start to the work week.  Highs today hit the low 90s with a good amount of humidity making it feel even warmer.  Tuesday, we’re in the upper 80s to near 90° as well.  Lows are in the low 70s.

STORM CHANCES: Today, storms will fire mainly to our north as a cold front drags southeast and begins to fade as the hot and humid air wins the battle.  A few thunderstorms may fire late or drift in from the north today.  Most stay dry today.

Tuesday, a second and more potent front pushes east.  This will help to organize storms which will arrive late in the day, lasting into the overnight.  Some of these storms could be severe with damaging wind gusts and hail as the main threats, but an isolated tornado is possible too.  We’ll need to monitor the situation closely on Tuesday.  Stay alert.

We have a shot at storms on Tuesday. For the storms that do form, we could see a few produce damaging winds or hail, with a small tornado threat as well.

Storms chances fade a bit for Wednesday as the front slowly clears the state.  Highs will be in the middle 80s as we transition to some drier and less hot air.

LATE WEEK:  Thursday and Friday feature near to below seasonal highs with temps in the middle 80s.  Lower humidity slips in with high pressure building to close the week.  Enjoy the sunshine and pleasant weather.

WEEKEND:  Saturday is seasonal with partly cloudy skies and highs in the middle 80s as well.  Rain chances are squashed as high pressure begins its exit.  Our next system approaches for Sunday. We heat up to the upper 80s.  A chance for thunderstorms returns.

Make it a marvelous Monday!
