iPhone 6 may have auto-unlock in “safe” areas

Apple may be looking into ways to make unlocking your iPhone even simpler.

The tech giant recently filed a patent that would allow the iPhone 6 to pick up a user’s location and adjust its security levels accordingly.

For example, if the device is on your home network, your iPhone would be allowed to bypass typical security measures.

On the other hand, if you enter areas deemed to be unsafe for electronic devices, your iPhone would implement stronger security protections.

Although the company was granted the patent last week, it’s still unknown whether or not this type of technology will ever make its way into an upcoming iPhone.
