SEVERE THREAT:  It’s another hot, humid, summery day today.  But, a cold front approaches later today and storms fire.  Storms may produce damaging winds, hail, and even a small tornado threat exists.  Be ready for a few heavy downpours with frequent lightning.  Storms chances are highest later in the day and into the evening hours.  Highs top out near 90°.

Storms fire to our west today in the midday hours. These storms will push east and may contain severe winds, hail, and a small threat for a tornado.

As the cold front clears the state, it’s a transition day.  A few lingering showers and storms may be in play for Wednesday.  It’s partly cloudy with highs in the middle 80s.

LATE WEEK:  As high pressure rolls into the state, we clear the heat and humidity to close out the week.  Expect highs in the middle 80s on Thursday & Friday, with lower humidity.  Enjoy!

WEEKEND:  Saturday, it’s partly cloudy with upper 80s and a touch more humidity.  We may see a stray storm or two.  Otherwise, it looks mainly dry.  Sunday, we’re in the upper 80s again, with more humid air.  A chance for storms returns as we await our next storm system.

Have a terrific Tuesday!
