It could soon cost you more to stay at hotels in York County. House lawmakers passed a measure last week to raise the hotel tax rate in certain counties. On Tuesday members of the State Senate are expected to convene and closely review all of the House amendments. If approved House Bill 1177 would move to Governor Tom Corbett’s desk for his signature.
The plan would not raise the hotel rate, but would give County Commissioners the option to do so.
