Carlisle Police investigate attempted child abduction

Police in Carlisle are investigating the possible attempted abduction of a 9-year-old boy.

The boy was watching other children playing in the area, when a male approached him, covered his mouth, and took him West on Bretz Avenue towards North West Street.

The boy said the suspect then attempted to force him into a dark blue sedan similar to a Ford Taurus. The suspect’s car was parked in the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church parking lot at North West Street, and West Locust Avenue.

The suspect is described a Caucasian young adult male, about 6′ tall, dirty blonde hair,  wearing jean shorts, a black hooded sweatshirt, and red Nike sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the police station at 717- 243-5252.
