The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is warning E-ZPass customers about a phishing scam. People have received fake emails made to appear official stating the customer has unpaid tolls.

“Please be advised that this is not a communication from E-ZPass, but is likely a phishing scam,” the Pa. Turnpike Commission said in a statement. “We advise you not to open or respond to that message. ”

The fraudulent email includes a link to download an invoice. Do not click on the link or respond to the email.

If you have received any correspondence like this and have questions about it, please call the E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 877-736-6727.
