Not a bad start to the weekend
FRIDAY: High pressure helps to keep out some of the humidity and most of the showers for the day today. We’re in the middle to upper 80s for highs with mostly sunny skies after some early fog. We may see a stray shower or two, but most are dry. Tonight, we drop to the middle 60s.
WEEKEND: Saturday looks like another great day. A foggy start in spots gives way to mostly sunny skies. The rain chances stay very low as well. Highs are in the upper 80s. By Sunday, our next storm system approaches. The warm front brings more clouds and the shot at more showers and storms. Highs hit the upper 80s again with more humidity.
BEACH: The weekend at the beach looks pretty good. It starts on Friday with the shot for some storms under mostly cloudy skies. Saturday, sun makes its way back with clouds filling back in for Sunday. Highs through the weekend will hover near 80°. Waves are 2-3ft with water temps in the low 60s along the NJ shore to near 70° along the MD shore. UV Index values are very high. Enjoy your trip!
NEXT WEEK: Two waves bring showers and storms to the picture for next week. As the warm front rolls through on Sunday, hot air is reinforced Monday. Highs are near 90°. A cold front on Monday will help to fire storms during the day. For Tuesday, a more potent cold front arrives, with some upper level support. This will fire widespread storms, some potentially strong/severe. We’ll be watching this closely. By Wednesday, much cooler and drier air slides in with temps close to 80° for Wednesday and Thursday. This comes during the hottest time of the year on average!
Make it an amazing Friday and a wonderful weekend! I’m off all next week so welcome Andrea Michaels to the mix!
