Police make arrests in weekend robberies in Derry Twp. and Palmyra

A man and woman were arrested Monday in connection with two armed robberies over the weekend in Derry and Palmyra Townships.

Police charged Corey T. Bowman, 20, and Sarah Emma Meldrum, 19, both of Palmyra, with the July 12 robbery at JM Mart on East Main Street in Palmyra and the July 13 robbery at the Subway on East Chocolate Avenue in Derry Township.

Bowman is charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, criminal use of a communications facility, possession with intent to deliver heroin, unlawful possession of heroin and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Meldrum is charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, unlawful possession of heroin and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were taken to Dauphin County Prison with bail set at $50,000 for Bowman and $35,000 for Meldrum.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for the pair on July 28.
