Police seek to ID suspect in theft of charity jars from convenience stores

Police in York County seek to identify a suspect in the theft of two charity jars from the counters of two convenience stores in Manchester Township.

Charity Jar Theft Suspect 2

The first incident happened on July 6. A woman entered the store in the 500 block of Greenbriar Road and took a charity jar from the counter that was sitting near the registers. The same woman struck again on July 13 at a convenience store in the 2100 block of Susquehanna Trail.  In both instances, the suspect walked into the store and after loitering around the store removed a charity jar near the cash register.

Investigators believe the same woman is responsible for similar thefts at convenience stores in other municipalities.

Anyone with information on the identity of the woman is asked to contact Northern Regional County Regional Police at (717) 292-3647 or 911.
