Drug suspect accused of throwing evidence out window while cops searched home

Harrisburg Police say a suspect in a drug case threw bags of evidence out of a second-story window while police were inside the home. It happened on July 7th. Police were called to the area of North 17th & Regina Street to check out a complaint about a man with a gun. Witnesses pointed police in the direction of the suspect at a nearby home.

The suspect was arrested for a warrant and police continued their investigation, believing the weapon was discarded inside the residence.
While speaking with the homeowner, the officers heard a loud banging noise, and one officer saw a man fleeing the residence. Police say Christopher Pierce, 21, had thrown two, large garbage bags out a second floor window, in attempt to dispose of them before the officers searched the home.
Officers seized 382 packets of synthetic marijuana, valued at $15,000-20,000.
Pierce is charged with Possession with intent to deliver synthetic marijuana, Tampering with Evidence, Flight to Avoid Apprehension.
