A Berks County man was arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman who was out jogging.
According to police on June 20th, Mark Miller 52, was driving his truck along Boyer Road in Pike Township when he lost control going around a curve, crossed onto the other side of the road and hit Sally Miksiewicz who was jogging.
Miksiewicz, 52, of Oley PA, was pronounced dead at the scene. Miller was not hurt.
Following investigation, police along with Berks County District attorney’s office charged Miller with Homicide by vehicle while DUI, driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, involuntary manslaughter and other related charges.
Miller was arrested Wednesday at his home on South View Street in Maidencreek Township.
There will be a press conference regarding this case on Thursday July 24, at 2:00 p.m.
