UPDATE: A tree falls on a York county man killing him Thursday night. It happened around 8:45pm along Grandview Drive in Newberry Township. The York County Coroner tells us 65-year-old George Melhorn, Jr. died when the tree he was cutting fell on him. Melhorn was from York Haven. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner said he died from multiple blunt force trauma.

A coroner is called to a home in York County Thursday evening. 911 received a call just before 9 pm for a man reportedly trapped by a fallen tree in the 3200 block of Grandview Drive, Newberry Township. Shortly after rescue crews arrived, a call was put in for the coroner.
