Fire crews battled a fire early Thursday morning that displaced a family of five and damaged a restaurant.
Firefighters arrived on scene around 6 a.m. at Harvey’s Main Street BBQ located at 304 East Main Street in Lancaster. When they arrived they could see flames coming from the side. Officials say they were able to control the fire within a half hour.
The building was not destroyed but suffered severe smoke damage. Estimated damages are about $100,000.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family that was displaced from a second floor apartment.
