State police are investigating a report of animal cruelty in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County. A 57-year-old Palmyra woman tell police she found her dog in her swimming pool dead from a gun shot wound.
In a press release, officials say the incident happened sometime on Wednesday in the 100 block of Tannenbaum Way.
Police believe the dog was shot in the side and are looking for additional information in account to the shooting. Anyone that knows anything related to this incident is asked to call the state police in Harrisburg at 717-671-7500.
