Brunilda Ramos hasn’t seen or spoken to her daughter since July 23rd. Karina DeJesus was last seen in York with her ex-boyfriend Jeffery Reid.
Ramos says her grandson painted a terrifying picture of his last moments with his mom.
“He said he took his mom. We said, ‘Was your mom sad? Was she crying?’ He said she was sad. We asked him why and he said, ‘because mommy said she wasn’t going to see us no more,” Ramos said as she choked back tears.
Reid is wanted by York City Police for a string of crimes, including two home invasions and the murder of 23-year-old DaShaun Davis; all took place on July 19th.
Ramos says Karina is a loving mom to three young kids, including a 2-year-old daughter with Reid.
She says Karina took a ‘Protection from Abuse’ order out against Reid two weeks ago and that she would never willingly leave with him.
“By now Karina would have contacted us, at least to see how her kids were doing,” Ramos said. “She cannot be without them.”
Karina’s family is now pleading with the public for any help in safely bringing Karina home.
“No matter how big or small you may think a lead is, please call the police. Notify them if you think you’ve seen Karina or this individual,” Bermudez said. “Do not approach them but please notify the police so we can bring Karina home with her kids where she belongs.”
