Two arrested in Wormleysburg strong-armed robbery

Two people have been arrested in connection with a strong armed robbery in Wormleysburg on Sunday night.  Officers responded to the first block of Market Street for a reported robbery around 8:23 p.m.

The victim told police he was tackled and robbed by a pair of men wearing all back. The thieves got away with a large amount of money and were last seen running towards the Market Street Bridge.

Investigators later charged Joseph M. Bortz Jr., 18, of Lemoyne  and Dameon A. Noaker, 19, of East Pennsboro with robbery and theft by unlawful taking.

Both men were taken  to Cumberland County Prison on $10,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 6.
