The mother said her 7-year-old son is old enough but police disagreed. It all began when Nicole Gainey gave her son Dominic permission to walk from their house to the park.
Police picked up the little boy at the park and took him home that is when police arrested the mother.
The officer wrote in the report that Dominic was unsupervised at the park and that “numerous sec offenders reside in the vicinity.” But Gainer says she believes Dominic is mature enough to go the park alone during the day. She adds he always has a cell phone which she calls to check on him.
